Sentences are of four kinds
1. Those which make statements
2.
Those which ask questions
3. Those which express commands, request.
4. Those which express strong feeling
Ø Assertive Sentence: A sentence that
makes a statement is called assertive sentence.
Ø Interrogative Sentence: A sentence that asks a question is called interrogative question Sentence: A sentence that asks a question is called interrogative question
Ø Imperative Sentence: A sentence that expresses a command or makes a request is called an imperative sentence.Sentence: A sentence that expresses a command or makes a request is called an imperative sentence.
Ø Exclamatory:
A sentence that expresses strong (intense) feeling is called an exclamatory
sentence.
