SUB UNIT : Types of sentence
Sentences are of four kinds
1. Those which make statements
2. Those which ask questions
3. Those which express commands,request.
4. Those which express strong feeling
v Assertive Sentence: A sentence that makes a statement is called assertive
sentence.
v Interrogative Sentence: A
sentence that asks a question is called interrogative question
v Imperative Sentence: A
sentence that expresses a command or makes a request is called an imperative
sentence.
v Exclamatory: A sentence
that expresses strong (intense) feeling is called an exclamatory sentence.
