CONSTITUTION OF 8TH CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION
195 SHRI ANAND BHADAURIA:
Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has received representation from various quarters regarding constitution of 8th Central Pay Commission during the month of June, 2024;
(b) and if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon, representation-wise;
(c) the time by which the Government would constitute 8th Central Pay Commission for revision of pay/pension of Central Government employees in view of unprecedented inflation in the country?
ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI PANKAJ CHAUDHARY)
(a) to (c): Two representations have been received for constitution of 8th Central Pay Commission in June, 2024. No such proposal is under consideration of the Government, at present.

(क) क्या सरकार को जून, 2024 माह के दौरान आठवें केन्द्रीय वेतन आयोग के गठन के संबंध में विभिन्न पक्षों से अभ्यावेदन प्राप्त हुए हैं;
(ख) यदि हां, तो तत्संबंधी अभ्यावेदन-वार ब्यौरा क्या है और इस पर क्या कार्रवाई की गई है; और
(ग) देश में अभूतपूर्व महंगाई को देखते हुए सरकार केन्द्रीय सरकार के कर्मचारियों के वेतन/पेंशन में संशोधन करने के लिए आठवें केन्द्रीय वेतन आयोग का गठन कब तक करेगी?

(क) से (ग): आठवें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग का गठन करने के लिए जून, 2024 में दो अभ्यावेदन प्राप्त हुए हैं। वर्तमान में, ऐसा कोई प्रस्ताव सरकार के पास विचाराधीन नहीं है।

INFORMATION REGARDING EIGHTH PAY COMMISSION
395 SHRI RAM NATH THAKUR:
Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:
(a) the reasons recorded on files for not considering and according approval of Para 1.22 of 7th CPC by Government;
(b) whether no proposal for setting up Eighth Central Pay Commission is under consideration due to the fact that Government is not in a position to bear the burden of pay commission;
(c) if so, the details and reasons for such situation; and
(d) if not, the reasons why 5th largest economy is not setting up Eighth Central Pay Commission and revising pay of the Central Government employees who are facing unprecedented inflation in the last thirty years?

(a): This issue has not been considered by the Union Cabinet while according the approval for the revision of pay and allowances based on 7th CPC.
(b) to (d): No such proposal is under consideration of the Government.

(ब) सरकार वेतन आयोगाचा भार उचलण्याच्या स्थितीत नसल्यामुळे आठवा केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग स्थापन करण्याचा कोणताही प्रस्ताव विचाराधीन आहे का
(c) तसे असल्यास, अशा परिस्थितीचे तपशील आणि कारणे; आणि
(d) नसल्यास, पाचवी सर्वात मोठी अर्थव्यवस्था आठवा केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग स्थापन का करत नाही आणि गेल्या तीस वर्षांत अभूतपूर्व महागाईचा सामना करणाऱ्या केंद्र सरकारी कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या वेतनात सुधारणा का करत नाही?

(a): 7 व्या CPC वर आधारित वेतन आणि भत्त्यांच्या सुधारणेला मंजुरी देताना केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने या मुद्द्याचा विचार केला नाही.
(b) ते (d): असा कोणताही प्रस्ताव शासनाच्या विचाराधीन नाही.
